WBSC teams up with Snapscreen for inaugural Baseball Champions League Americas

Snapscreen, with its fan clip sharing product ClipShare, will work alongside the WBSC during the Baseball Champions League Americas tournament, which starts in Mexico on Thursday

Pully, Switzerland - The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has signed an agreement to work with Snapscreen and their influential fan clip sharing product ClipShare for inaugural Baseball Champions League Americas tournament, which will take place in Merida, Mexico from 28 September to 1 October.

The ClipShare technology makes moments on TV socially shareable & monetizable. It enables fans to snap the TV with their smartphone and instantly get a broadcast quality clip with audio to rewind, trim and share. Fans share their personal, WBSC branded clips with their friends through social channels and messaging services and spread the action, the brand and sponsorship.

This will ensure that fans across the globe will not miss any of the big moments as the first-ever Baseball Champions League takes place between 28 September and 1 October in Mexico, with four teams competing for the trophy.

"The WBSC’s partnership with Clipshare for the Baseball Champions League will help ensure that the exciting action on the field will be shared far and wide by fans across the globe," WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari said. “We are extremely excited about the inaugural event and believe that it will become an important fixture in the baseball calendar in years to come. By signing an agreement with a company like Snapscreen, we are ensuring that the first edition gets off to the best possible start."
