WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup 2023: Argentina present roster with three 2020 World Cup stars

Lucas Galarza, Valentín Mata and Julian Reitober, are the three World Cup stars in Argentina’s roster for Hermosillo.

Argentina coaching staff is composed by Rafael Salguero (head coach), Ricardo Cargnel (Coach), Nicolás Jimenez (coach), Pablo Seguí (coach), Ricardo Biondi (physiotherapist) and Fabián Medina (team leader).

The top nation in the WBSC Men’s Softball World Ranking, Argentina will open the World Cup in Group B, playing against No. 3 Japan, No. 5 USA, No. 7 New Zealand, No. 8 Venezuela and No. 17 Israel, their rival in the first game of the competition.

Argentina has been a junior men’s softball powerhouse in the last decade, winning back to back World Championships in 2012 and 2014, finishing in the top-five in the last five editions of the World Cup, including a fourth place in 2020 in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
