WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup Americas qualifier to take place in Sincelejo, Colombia, 3 to 9 September

A total of six teams are confirmed for the qualifier, with four spots available for the World Cup in November.

The WBSC Americas Softball announced that the U-18 Pan Am Men’s Softball Championship will take place in Sincelejo, Colombia, from 3 to 9 September. The tournament is a qualifier for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup, set to take place in Hermosillo, Mexico, from 11 to 19 November.

A total of six teams have been confirmed for the tournament, with four spots available for the World Cup. World No. 1 Argentina, No. 4 Canada, No. 5 USA, No. 8 Venezuela, No. 24 Colombia and No. 28 Peru.

All games of the U-18 Pan Am Men’s Softball Championship will be live streamed on WBSC Americas YouTube Channel.

A total of seven teams have so far been confirmed for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup: No. 2 Australia, No. 3 Japan, No. 6 Czechia, No. 7 New Zealand, No. 10 Mexico (hosts), No. 12 Singapore and No. 17 Israel.

The World Cup will be played at Mundialistas Hermosillenses Stadium and Fernando M. Ortiz Field from 11-19 November. It will be the second Softball World Cup Mexico has hosted after staging the inaugural edition of the Men’s Softball World Cup in Mexico City, in 1966.

Originally planned for 2022, the tournament was moved to 2023 to better accommodate the changes in the international calendar. As a result, the eligibility to participate in the U-18 Men's Softball World Cup 2023 has been extended to players who turn 19 years old in 2023.
