Women's Baseball Webinar set to celebrate International Women's Day

The event will be accessible via Zoom as well as to the general public via the WBSC YouTube channel.

The WBSC Women's Baseball Development Commission will celebrate International Women's Day through a live webinar via Zoom on Tuesday, 8 March 15:00 Central European Time.

The webinar, which will focus on the 2022 season ahead and the numerous events and playing opportunities ahead, will include English and Spanish translation for participants and will also be accessible on demand for the general public after the webinar via the WBSC YouTube channel.

Participants can register here.

Members of the WBSC Women's Development Commission, chaired by Japan's Hiroko Yamada, and some special guests, will also share memories of various editions of the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup.

After two difficult years for athletes in 2020 and 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, the shared goal of the webinar is to have as many participants as possible back on the field in 2022.

"I'm very much looking forward to going through the best memories of the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cups, as well as provide an overview of the activities in place in 2022 to inspire the latest generation of players," Yamada said. "The athletes are always the focus, especially in these difficult times in which it has been hard to get on the field due to the pandemic".
