Women's Softball: Czechia to host European champions the Netherlands in four game series

From 29 April to 1 May, world No. 9 Czechia will stage a four-game, three-city series against No. 8 the Netherlands.

With the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals as the highlight of the season, international women's softball competition keeps thriving around the world. From 29 April to 1 May, world No. 9 Czechia will stage a four-game, three-city series against No. 8 the Netherlands in Prague. 

The international friendly series will open on Monday, April 29, 19:30 at Svoboda Park, Bohnice. Both teams will take the field again on Tuesday, April 30, 17:00 at Sabat in Trója for Game 2 before closing the series with a doubleheader at Spectrum in Černý Most on Wednesday, May 1 (14:00 and 17:00).

The Netherlands will face this season a double challenge with the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals in July in Castions di Strada, and the European Championship where they will try to repeat as continental champions in Utrecht the first week of September. The Netherlands will open the World Cup Finals in Group B against world No. 2 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico and No. 10 Australia.

Meanwhile, Czechia will be one of the main contenders to challenge Netherlands in the European Championship. In 2022 they finished in fourth place losing to Italy, 4-2, in the Bronze Medal Game.

The four games of the series will be broadcast live on Czech Softball YouTube channel.
