XXVI Pan-American 12U Championship: Results Day 4, November 5

The fourth day of the competition at the XXVI Pan-American 12U Baseball Championship in Barranquilla, Colombia featured a pair of shutouts for the undefeated Panama and Brazil. Host Colombia had an off day.

The fourth day of the competition at the XXVI Pan-American 12U Baseball Championship in Barranquilla, Colombia featured a pair of shutouts for the undefeated Panama and Brazil. Host Colombia had an off day.

In game one on Monday Panama scored in each of the first six innings to beat the Dominican Republic 10-0. It was their fourth win in the fourth game at the tournament, as the Central Americans continue to dominate. Carlos Daniel Zaldivar hit a homerun and drove in three. Eight different players crossed the plate for runs. Anderson Keni Comas Amado had the lone hit for Colombia. He however also took the loss on the mound, allowing seven runs (6 ER) on eight hits in 3 1/3 innings. Alexis Antonio Campines struck out nine in four scoreless one-hit innings for the win.

In the second match Brazil plated runs in five of the first six innings in a 6-0 shutout over Peru. Vinicius Nicolau Croito and Allan Rodriguez Batista combined to score four of the six runs, while collecting five of the ten hits. On the mound Ciro Akiyoshi Higashi gave up just two hits and three walks in six scoreless innings to receive the victory. Alan Cesar Panduro issued one hit, two runs and three base on balls in one-plus frames to get charged with the loss.
