The game schedule and groups of the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, which runs from 31 August to 10 September 2023, have been announced.
Tien-Mou Stadium in Taipei City will host the opening game at 18:30 (local time) on Thursday, 31 August with world No. 4 Chinese Taipei playing No. 9 Australia.
Chinese Taipei and Australia, who played out a 13-2 win to Chinese Taipei in the Opening Round in last year's edition, will compete in Group A and face No. 3 Mexico, No. 5 Korea, No. 11 Puerto Rico and No. 16 Czechia.
The Taichung College of Physical Education Stadium will host the second day of Group A games, starting with Czechia-Mexico at 13:00 (local time) on Friday, 1 September.
The Intercontinental Stadium in Taichung will host the rest of Group A's games.
Action will return to Tien-Mou at 10:30 on Friday when defending champions and world No. 2 USA visit world No. 8 the Netherlands in Group B's first game.
Group B also features No. 1 Japan, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 14 Panama and No. 21 Spain.
Tien-Mou Stadium will be the venue of the three Super Round days, Thursday, 7, Friday, 8, and Saturday, 9 September and will host the medal games on Sunday, 10 September, at 14:00 (bronze) and 18:00 (World Championship Game), local time.
The Taichung College of Physical Education Stadium will host the three Placement Round days.
