Media accreditation open for WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup

The I WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup is scheduled from 21-29 October in Komazawa and in Setagaya City in Japan. The registration deadline is Monday, 16 October.

Media registration is now open for the I WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup, the first WBSC tournament for U-15 to be played in Tokyo as a legacy event of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The registration deadline for the tournament, scheduled from 21-29 October in Setagaya and Ota City, is Monday, 16 October, 2023.

All members of the media, both local/national and international, who plan to cover the U-15 Women's Softball World Cup must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at https://my.wbsc.org.

The accreditations procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online request form needs to be completed, also including a headshot.

Media should accurately indicate their credential pickup location to avoid delays during the distribution.

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received.

Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.

Media members can check their request status up to and after the registration deadline by accessing mywbsc.org and clicking SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION on the top right of the page. You will then need to enter your name, last name and email address.

International Media, please check accurately if traveling to Japan from your country of origin requires a VISA.

Pre-tournament press conferences will be scheduled. Details will follow at a later stage.

The WBSC will share a protocol for media interviews during the I WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup with the accredited media before the tournament opens,

  • Photographers and NRH TV crews will be required to wear WBSC-issued media vests.
