In a crucial game between two unbeaten sides, two consecutive bunts put the Chinese Taipei defence under pressure in the second innings and broke the score open for Korea. A two-RBI single by Kanta Aiba was all the offence Japan's pitching needed. Colombia's plan worked as clockwork for the first four innings, then a wrong move to the bullpen allowed Mexico to come back.
