Puerto Rico will host Canada for two series of friendly matches between the women's baseball national teams and two U-19 National selections at the Roberto Clemente Walker Stadium in Carolina this week.
"Canada is warming up for the IX Women's Baseball World Cup, and we are looking for a development opportunity," said Carlos Ferrer, Puerto Rico's manager. "We have a lot of talent in Puerto Rico and will take a look at those players."
Canada will host the IX Women's Baseball World Cup Finals in Thunder Bay from 28 July to 3 August.
Women Baseball is strongly developing in Canada. The British Columbia Province recently launched a league for girls aged 7-12.
Canada and Puerto Rico National Teams will compete in five games.
