WBSC Academy to share stories from women's baseball players; Live Q&A on 20 May
Five players who performed on the international stage will share their experiences through videos on the WBSC YouTube. The players will be available for a live Q&A session on 20 May.
The World Baseball Softball Confederation's 10-course project on gender equality and women's baseball will showcase stories from active women's baseball players.
Getting Acquainted - Stories from Women's Baseball Players is a course that aims at sharing the stories of players who have performed on women's baseball international stage.
The initiative was recently launched by the WBSC Diversity & Inclusivity Commission and the Women’s Baseball Commission.
Women's baseball stories posted on the WBSC's YouTube channel (see videos below) include those from Shae Lillywhite (Australia), Katherine Psota (Canada), Famke Gildemacher (Netherlands), Veronica Alvarez (USA) and Lelys Gomez (Venezuela).
The five players will be available for a Q&A Session on Thursday, 20 May at 2 pm CEST.
