KBO: Doosan Bears win semi-playoff, 2015 WBSC Premier12 star Jae-won Oh named series MVP

Oh hit .500, as the defending champions will now face the KT Wiz in a best-of-five series that will send the winners to the Korean Series against the NC Dinos.

The Doosan Bears swept the LG Twins, 4-0 and 9-7, in the best-of-three Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) semi-play off series.

Veteran infielder Jae-won Oh earned series MVP, as he posted a .500 batting average with four hits and four RBIs.

In 2015, Oh appeared in seven games with the Korean National Team, including the championship final against the United States, in the inaugural WBSC Premier12. He got three hits over six at-bats.

The Bears, the defending KBO champions, will now meet the KT Wiz in a best-of-five playoff series that begins on Monday, 9 November.

The winner of the playoff series will advance to the the Korean Series and face the NC Dinos, the top-seeded team of the regular season. The best-of-seven KBO championship series will be entirely played at the Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul, the only roofed stadium in the country. The Sky Dome hosted Group C of the 2019 WBSC Premier12.
