U-18 and U-12 European Baseball Championships postponed

The CEB had announced in April the cancellation of all club competitions.

The Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) announced that the U-18 European Baseball Championship, originally scheduled for July and previously postponed to September/October, will not take place in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The continental tournament, which qualifies two European nations into the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, will potentially be held in the second quarter of 2021.

The WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, the top competition for high-school aged players, is scheduled for September 2021 in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, USA.

CEB also postponed the U-12 European Championship, as well as qualifiers to the U-15 and U-23 European Championships, having previously cancelled all club competitions: the Champions Cup, the CEB Cup and the Federations Cup. A decision on whether the Championship events will be staged in 2021 will be made later this year.
