World No. 7 Czech Republic and No. 11 Denmark finished first and second respectively at the U-18 Men’s Softball European Qualifier and advanced to the first-ever WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup, to be held in Palmerston North, New Zealand

Japan and Singapore became the first two qualified nations for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup, to be held in Palmerston North, New Zealand, from 22 February to 1 March 2020.

The world championship was named Tourism Saskatchewan Marquee Event of the Year, during the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala celebrated at TCU Place in Saskatoon

Argentina and Australia have won seven of the last eight WBSC Junior Men’s Softball World Championships, with the nation from Oceania claiming five titles and the South Americans two.

Ellsworth took over as the team’s Head Coach shortly before the beginning of the WBSC Junior Men’s World Championship 2016 and led the team to a Bronze medal, and recently guided the team to a fourth-place finish at the 2018 event in Prince Albert, Canada.
