The Havana Province, three-time National Champions, won the Baseball5 Copa Venezolana, hosted by the Venezuela municipality in the Ciego de Avila province, Cuba.
Havana finished the opening round with a 6-1 record. In the semifinal, they defeated Leñadores de Casimba, one of the four teams representing the host municipality, and beat Cazadores de Llega y Pon, another local team, in the final, 2-1.
The tournament featured for the first time night Baseball5 games in Cuba. The XIX de Abril district field was renamed after Lázaro Santana, a Ciego de Avila baseball great.
Eros Bernal, Baseball5 technical director in Cuba, announced a donation of Baseball5 balls to help develop the area's five-on-five version of baseball/softball.
