The 53-year-old appeared in 1,284 games from 1993 to 2003 and is currently the Kyung Hee University head coach. Gye-Won Park will manage the U-18 National Team.

China to host V WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup from 6 to 15 September, 2024

The Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Culture Center, the venue of baseball and softball at the 19th Asian Games, will host a WBSC baseball event in mainland China for the first time. Eight teams have qualified so far with hosts China receiving a wild card.

Undefeated Colombia and Nicaragua will compete for the U-23 Pan American title. Puerto Rico and Venezuela will play for bronze. The finals are scheduled on Thursday, 30 November, in Managua, Nicaragua.
