WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS to feature at Tokyo Game Show 2023

The WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS will be staged at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 on 21 September after an exciting event during the U-18 Baseball World Cup.

On Thursday, 21 September, the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s (WBSC) official video game, WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS will reveal a new project, along with an exhibition match, at the Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. (KONAMI) booth during the Tokyo Game Show 2023.

The exhibition match will be played by a Japanese eBASEBALL™ player Yuki Yoshida (Taiji) and Li Zechao(KOY), the winner of the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) Open, which was recently featured as a side event at the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.

The CTBA eBASEBALL™ Open was held at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium with KOY and Chia-Ming Wang (CMWANG), who was the top Chinese Taipei player at the Olympic Esports Series 2023, contesting a thrilling game, with KOY hitting a walk-off home run to finish the game.

As well as the two eBASEBALL™ players, Lai KUAN-YUN (Laiki), a Chinese Taipei influencer will join the commemorative event at the Tokyo Game Show 2023. The WBSC continues to attract new audiences to the sport through WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS, which was released in conjunction with KONAMI in February 2023.

The WBSC and KONAMI will organise a press event at the booth just before the exhibition match to unveil a groundbreaking WBSC eBASEBALLTM project for international Baseball/Softball by the WBSC Executive Director Michael Schmidt and KONAMI Corporate Officer Tatsuhiko Yamamoto. The press event and the exhibition match will be also available on KONAMI’s Official Pawapuro/Prospi channel.

Baseball and eBASEBALL™ lovers can download WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS on Nintendo Switch™ and PlayStation® to build a team and enjoy games. There are over 300 selectable characters and players can choose their favourite hitters, pitchers and position players. Combining different characters to cover the most successful statistical outcomes is the first step to success.

The Tokyo Game Show 2023, scheduled from September 21 – 24 at Makuhari Messe, is one of the biggest gaming Expos in Japan.
