Two online workshops recently hosted by the WBSC Scoring Commission proved to be an international success.
"We had so many requests that we needed to split the [session] into two different events," said WBSC Scoring Commission Chairperson Anna Maria Paini.
A total of 98 baseball, softball and baseball5 scorers participated in the first session, while 112 logged on for the second session.
The online global workshop, which provided a preview of forthcoming scoring seminars to be scheduled in the coming months, gave scorers from all over the world a chance to review plays, rules and go over controversial scoring decisions.
The feedback from participants was generally very positive. Only 13% of the scorers attending the first session considered the lesson, which included the review of three scoring videos, too advanced for their scoring level. This percentage dropped to 3% by the second session.
