Korea to host WBSC Baseball5 World Cup Asia qualifier from 13 to 16 April in Olympic Park

Eight teams will participate in the event's second edition, which will qualify three teams for the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024.

The Olympic Park in Bangi-dong, Songpa District in Seoul, Korea will host the second Baseball5 Asia Cup from 13 to 16 April. The Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) plans to set up the Baseball5 field in Peace Square.

The tournament will qualify three teams for the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024.

Eight teams have confirmed their participation: World No. 2 and Asia Cup defending champions Chinese Taipei, No. 6 Japan, No. 9 Korea, No. 15 China, No. 20 Malaysia, No. 22 Hong Kong, China, No. 31 Singapore, and No. 37 Thailand.

Hong Kong, China will host the second WBSC Baseball5 World Cup from 7 to 12 October. Four teams have qualified so far for the 12-team event.

Cuba defeated Japan in the final to win the inaugural Baseball5 World Cup, played in inspirational El Zocalo, the world-famous square in Mexico City in late 2022 and is the defending Baseball5 World Champion.
