Super Round schedule revealed for WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2022 in Hermosillo, Mexico

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today revealed the Super Round schedule for the V WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup following the conclusion of the 22-game Opening Round in Hermosillo, Mexico.

The U-15 Baseball World Cup moves into the next phase of the tournament with Cuba, Japan, Panama, Puerto Rico, Chinese Taipei and defending world champions USA set to compete head-to-head over the next four days, from 31 August to 3 September.

Cuba and Chinese Taipei advance as the respective first and second seeds out of Group A.

First-place Japan and second-place Panama qualified out of Group B, while USA and Puerto Rico head into next stage out from Group C.

In the first official day of Super Round action, Chinese Taipei (0-1) will meet Puerto Rico (0-1), Panama (0-1) will take on Cuba (1-0), and USA (1-0) will go head-to-head against Japan (1-0).

Only results between the Super Round teams (including matches in the Opening Round) count toward the Super Round standings. As a result, Cuba, Japan and USA will enter the Super Round atop the standings (1-0), carrying over their respective wins against Chinese Taipei, Panama and Puerto Rico in the Opening Round. 

The top two teams at the conclusion of the Super Round will compete For the Title of World Champion on Sunday.

Mexico (1-0), Czechia (0-1), France (0-1), South Africa (0-2), Colombia (1-0), Venezuela (2-0) and Guam (1-1) will compete in the 7th-13th Placement Round and carry over their respective head-to-head wins/losses against each other from the Opening Round.
