Olympic Esports Series 2023 Finals: Tenth and final participant for WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS confirmed

The 10 finalists will compete in the WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS finals from 23-25 June in Singapore.

The 10th and final WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS player, Woonie Chong – “Woonie”, from the host country Singapore, will compete in the finals of the inaugural Olympic Esports Series 2023 at Suntec Conference and Exhibition Centre after winning the the eBASEBALL™ Singapore Open.

Chong plays slow pitch softball and found out about the qualifying event from one of his softball club teammates. As an avid Power Pros player, he recently downloaded the WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS game while also watching the Japan Qualifier Final on YouTube.

“As the winner of the eBASEBALL™ Singapore Open, I am very happy to have qualified to the finals of the Olympic Esports Series,” Chong said. “I’m very excited to play WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS at the iconic Suntec Center venue against top eBASEBALLTM players from around the world.”

The 10 finalists will be split into two groups of five for the preliminary round scheduled on 23 June, which will be a round-robin format competed off-stage and off-stream.

Each matchup will feature a single game of WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS. The top two players from each group will qualify to the semifinals on 24 June, with the winners moving on to the final and the losing semifinalists playing in the third-place game.
