Puerto Rico, Czechia complete cast of 12 participants in XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup

The WBSC granted Puerto Rico and Czechia a wild card, thus completing the cast of 12 teams participating in the XXXI U-18 Baseball World Cup.

Americas (5) No. 2 USA, No. 3 Mexico, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 11 Puerto Rico, No. 14 Panama
Europe (3) No. 8 Netherlands, No. 15 Czechia, No. 21 Spain
Oceania (1) No. 9 Australia

Seven National Teams earned their participation through qualifying tournaments in Europe (August 2022), the Americas (November 2022), and Oceania (December 2022). WBSC Asia awarded their three spots according to the Continental Rankings.

The 12 participants are split into two groups:

Group A: Chinese Taipei, Korea, Mexico, Australia, Puerto Rico, Czechia.
Group B: USA, Japan, Netherlands, Panama, Venezuela, Spain.

The Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) will host the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Taipei City and Taichung from 31 August to 10 September. The United States are the defending U-18 world champions.
