Seoul (Korea). As on the first two days of the competition at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea, Canada was responsible for the most thrilling game. But this time they were on the wrong end of the celebrations. Chinese Taipei concluded day three by erasing an early 0-5 deficit en route to a walk-off victory in the ninth. Four teams are now tied with 2-1 records in Group A, as Japan shut out Panama.

18U BWC: Venezuela needs Extras to prevail against Australia

Seoul (Korea). Venezuela captured its first win at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea. On Saturday morning at Jamsil Stadium they blew a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, but managed to prevail 6-3 against Australia in ten innings. Both teams are now 1-1 in Group B in first-round play.

Seoul (Korea). Colombia scored eight runs in the first two innings to defeat the Netherlands 9-6 at Mokdong Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Dutch team tried to come back, but it was too little to erase the big deficit. 18U BWC: Korea stuns United States at Jamsil Stadium

Seoul (Korea). Korea stunned Team USA 8-2 on Saturday afternoon at Jamsil Stadium to earn their second win at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship. The host kept the opposing bats cold all game, after the Americans had scored 17 runs on Friday. They took the lead in the third and never looked back, blowing the contest open with four runs in the sixth.

18U BWC: No trouble with Europeans as Panama also moves past Czech Republic

Seoul (Korea). One day after a shutout over Italy, Panama also didn’t have any trouble with their second European opponent in Group B at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship. They moved past the Czech Republic 6-2 on Saturday evening, claiming their second win of the tournament. The Czech squad again played a respectable game – like they did in their opener against Chinese Taipei – but in the end had to settle for their second loss.

Seoul (Korea). Fans at the XXV 18U Baseball World Championship saw exciting games on the second day of first-round play on Saturday. In the morning Canada celebrated a second straight walk-off win at Mokdong, coming back against a strong Italian team, scoring the winning run in the ninth. Nearly at the same time Australia erased a three-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth, before falling down to Venezuela in the tenth.

18U BWC: Australia cruises to win in Jamsil Opener

Seoul (Korea). After the rained out first day of the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea, the games started finally on Friday. In the opener at Jamsil Stadium in the morning, Australia downed Colombia 7-4 to start into the tournament successfully. A good pitching performance by Boston Red Sox prospect Daniel McGrath and timely hits helped the Aussies to the victory. Colombia’s offense didn’t wake up until the end, but it was too late.
