Speaking during the pre-tournament press conference in Sarasota, Florida, USA manager Denny Hocking said it's an "incredible honour to host the tournament" while WBSC Vice President Willy Kaltschmitt said that "baseball is more global than ever and that this event is one of the biggest youth World Cups in all sports."
